FundsAudit ("we", "us", or "our") provides a personal finance application that helps users record income and expenses, categorize transactions, review insights, and set monthly budgets. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, with whom it is shared, and the choices available to you. This policy applies to our mobile applications (the "App").
2. Information We Collect
- Account & Authentication: Phone number used for sign‑in via Firebase Phone Authentication. One‑Time Password (OTP) used for verification. OTPs are transient and used only for authentication.
- User‑Provided Finance Data: Manually entered transactions (e.g., amount, category, date/time). Categories you assign to transactions. Budgets you set (e.g., monthly budget amount).
- Purchases: Payment‑related information necessary to complete in‑app purchases of premium access, processed by our payment partner (Razorpay). We do not store full payment instrument details; such details are handled by Razorpay.
3. How We Use Information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the App’s core features (manual transaction entry, categorization, insights, budgets).
- Enable sign‑in and account management via phone number and OTP.
- Provide premium‑tier notifications intended for premium users.
- Process in‑app purchases via Razorpay.
- Communicate with you about the App, including required service notices and changes to this policy or our Terms.
- Comply with applicable law or respond to lawful requests.
4. Data Sharing & Disclosure
- We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as necessary to provide the services described:
- Firebase (Authentication): to enable phone number sign‑in and OTP verification.
- Razorpay (Payments): to process in‑app purchases. Payment details are handled by Razorpay in accordance with their policies.
- Legal: We may disclose information if required by law or to respond to valid legal processes.
5. Your Choices & Controls
- Manual control: All transactions are added manually by you in the App.
- Account deletion: You may request deletion of your account from within the App. When you do, we will delete user data associated with your account, subject to any retention required by applicable law.
6. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the services described. If you request deletion of your account, we delete associated user data.
7. Security
We take reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the “Effective date” above and, where appropriate, through the App.
